Beauty Blender Bounce Liquid Whip Longwear Foundation Review (Shade 2.3)

beauty blender foundation, beauty blender foundation review, beauty blender bounce review, beautyblender bounce foundation review, beauty blender bounce liquid whip longwear foundation review, beauty blender shade 2.3, shade 2.3 swatches, beauty blender shade 2.3 swatches,
Another foundation review? Yes please! You guys already know it’s one of my favourite makeup products to review. When I heard that Beauty Blender was coming out with a foundation, I knew I had to get my hands on it. The Beauty Blender itself was and still is, one of the most innovative and life changing products in the makeup industry. Many reasons why I wanted to try this foundation, was the fact it claimed to last up to 24 hours.

I am currently on the market to find a foundation that lasts all day and night, as I am going to a wedding this weekend! This foundation claims to last up to 24 hours, and is suppose to have a velvet matte finish.

Not only are you getting a foundation though, the packaging itself also is a little dish for your foundation!! I originally was using a metal plate I purchased at IMATS many years ago, but this just makes it easier since it’s all in one. I’m also loving the pearlized finish on the backside.

If you’re worried about the foundation not properly landing onto the dish portion, they already have that all figured out. The nozzle that dispenses the foundation is angled so when you press down the pump, the product is dispensed onto the back.

It’s super cute! I’ve never had a foundation this shape. It’s kind of big and oblong, but it’s different! There’s also a locking mechanism so you don’t accidentally dispense product when you don’t want to. I got the shade 2.3 based on my Sephora shade match. (To be honest, I last did colour match over 6 years ago, so I don’t even think it was accurate but I went with it!)

As you can see, the product drips onto the backside so you have a spot for your Beauty Blender to dab on. So genius!

Here is the shade on my arm. The colour 2.3 is suppose to be a medium shade with yellow undertones. The colour definitely looked darker on my arm than on my face when I applied it, but we will see if I have to change it or not, after a few more uses.

Here is my bare ass face. I actually look pretty pale this summer, so I figured the colour could work on me.

beauty blender foundation, beauty blender foundation review, beauty blender bounce review, beautyblender bounce foundation review, beauty blender bounce liquid whip longwear foundation review, beauty blender shade 2.3, shade 2.3 swatches, beauty blender shade 2.3 swatches,
Okay, so with the foundation only, I felt that the colour was wayyyyyyyy too light on me. It could also be the flash, so now I’m definitely reconsidering wearing this to a wedding, since many photos will be taken. I’ll for sure have to test it more after this.

beauty blender foundation, beauty blender foundation review, beauty blender bounce review, beautyblender bounce foundation review, beauty blender bounce liquid whip longwear foundation review, beauty blender shade 2.3, shade 2.3 swatches, beauty blender shade 2.3 swatches,
It’s definitely whiter than most foundations I’ve tried, so I could for sure probably go for a darker shade. It’s not too bad I must say. The foundation applies on very nicely, but you do have to use a lot to get to full coverage. I used 5 pumps to achieve this look. It’s super lightweight that I didn’t feel like I was wearing make-up at all! You definitely do get a very velvety-matte finish, and I didn’t feel like it was heavy or cakey at all.

beauty blender foundation, beauty blender foundation review, beauty blender bounce review, beautyblender bounce foundation review, beauty blender bounce liquid whip longwear foundation review, beauty blender shade 2.3, shade 2.3 swatches, beauty blender shade 2.3 swatches,
I’m not gonna lie, I look pretty darn oily. For 10 hours though? It’s not too bad! I always have blotting sheets with me, so I could easily fix the problem. At the 6 hour mark is when I start getting oily, and this foundation lasted past that, before I had to blot my face. With some foundations, I get some weird separation around my nose, and everything gets all patchy and weird. This foundation was able to withstand all that, so I was super happy.

UPDATE AFTER 3 DAYS OF USE:
From my initial test, I used the foundation along with my favourite concealer, which is the Tarte Shape Tape concealer. I figured maybe if I change up my routine a bit, I could get a better idea of the actual foundation itself. I skipped using concealer, and to my surprise, it lasted WAY longer without it!

Jump to the next day, I skipped the concealer again and then I mixed the foundation with one of my Colourpop No Filter Foundations, just so the shade would be slightly darker. I was happy to find that the formula still worked amazing and the foundation lasted all day. What I love most about this foundation is how lightweight it is. Even though my face may look like an oily mess at the end of the day, it didn't feel gross at all. Sometimes, the oil from my face mixes with the foundation, causing my face to feel really gross and heavy. I don't get this feeling at all with this foundation. I even wore it to the gym, got super sweaty, and my face still felt good.

So does it last 24 hours? If my face was normal and didn't get as oily as it did, yeah I could totally see it lasting 24 hours. I love how lightweight it is, it's almost like you're not wearing any make-up! I love to cake on that foundation, and this one sure doesn't feel cakey at all.

Most likely this shade will end up being my winter colour, and I'll probably have to buy another shade to use for summer, but mixed with another foundation, or maybe even a lot of bronzer, I could make it work!

Are you thinking of trying this foundation?

Colourpop No Filter Collection Review (Light 70, Medium 90, Medium Pressed Powder, Banana Powder, Translucent Powder)

Besides lip products, my favourite products to review are face products. I love doing foundation reviews, because foundation is literally the "foundation" to the whole look! Hahahaha, that was pretty lame. I have a very problematic face, so I'm always on the hunt for a better foundation. 100% of the time, my face is oily AF, sometimes I have dry patches, and sometimes my pores are so large, you can mistaken my face for the moon.

I've only ever tried Colourpop liquid lipsticks and eyeshadows, and as much as I love the product, I never saw myself reaching for them as often as the "higher end' stuff I own. Higher end as in; more pricey and luxurious I guess. The foundation looked promising, and I'm always up for trying a new foundation. My current favourites over the last few months have been the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Foundation and the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation. Fenty is my #1 go to, but I didn't feel like spending over $40 on foundation, so I went back to my holy grail, never fail foundation; the Maybelline Fit Me. I've been using it for years, and have repurchased it time and time again, and it never lets me down. It's my all time favourite drug store foundation.

When I saw that Colourpop was coming out with more face products (besides the concealer) I knew I had to try it. I purchased two shades of foundation, because the guide they offered put me under both the shade Light 70, and Medium 90. You can find the shade guide on their Instagram page!

I also purchased the Sheer Pressed Powder in the shade "medium" and both the translucent powder and the banana powder. The pressed powder was surprisingly "white" for a medium shade, and it did make me look a tad whiter when I used it. The banana powder was very yellow, but a very nice fine powder, that didn't dry out my face when I used it. The translucent powder didn't add a white cast on my face, but I also felt it didn't make a huge difference in controlling my oil or setting my face.

The colour looks super yellow here, but it wasn't as yellow on my skin, and it blended very nicely.

Translucent Powder

Medium Sheer Pressed Powder

Personally, I felt I could do without the Translucent Setting Powder, as I felt it didn't do too much for me, and same with the Matte Pressed Powder, which seemed quite light for a medium shade.

For the foundation shades, I noticed that Light 70 was too light, and Medium 90 was too dark. They had an 80 shade that I totally wish I got instead. Mixing the shades definitely makes the perfect shade for me though, so that's what I've been doing for the past few weeks. The foundation is very watery, but man is it pigmented. A little really goes a long way with this foundation. The one thing I disliked about the packaging though was the fact their wasn't a lid! I love that there's a pump, but the pump doesn't have a lid, so it kind of looks incomplete.
Some better lighting to see the true shades of colour. On the left is Light 70, and on the right we have Medium 90. You can see that the Light 70 is more neutral, and Medium 90 is more yellow.  Combined together, the shade is perfect for me!

Using it for the first week, I absolutely loved the finished look with all three products. It was wearable for more than 6 hours, but past that mark, it looked horrendous! My pores were showing and I looked super oily. I stopped using the pressed powder and the loose powder, to determine if it was the foundation, and I still had the same result.

I really wanted to give this foundation another shot, because for the price, you can't go wrong. The following week I decided to switch out my primer. Originally I was using the Smashbox primer, and then I switched to the Dr Brandt Pores No More primer. What a difference it made! I guess the combination with the Smashbox primer and the foundation, made my face extra oily, but with the Pores No More, it held up for more than 6 hours, and I didn't have to blot my face til about the 7 hour mark. Even at that point, the blotting sheet had barely any oil on it. My favourite thing to do is use the loose banana powder under my eyes, brush it all off, and then use the sheer pressed powder to set it all. I wasn't a huge fan of the translucent loose powder, as I felt it didn't make a difference in controlling my oil. I continued using my current favourite loose setting powder which is the Too Faced Peach Perfect Powder.

Final thoughts? This is probably one of my all time favourite foundations now. I love the huge selection of shades, and the fact the shade is absolutely perfect for me. This is the closest shade I've matched myself with, for any foundation I've owned! Most times foundation shades are slightly too dark for me, but I use a lot of powder to kind of balance it out. It is definitely medium to full coverage, or you can sheer it out if you have a very damp Beauty Blender. You barely need any foundation to get good coverage, so it will definitely last you a while. The sheer pressed powder is probably a pass on repurchasing, because I feel it didn't make a huge difference whether I used it or not. I'm more of a loose powder person anyways. It'll probably sit in my purse as a powder I can use for touch ups, but besides that, I won't buy it again. I love the banana loose powder though, as it looked amazing and did a great job brightening my under eyes. I like the translucent loose powder, but it wasn't any better than an other loose setting powder. I'll probably stick to my favourites I already have.

Have you tried any Colourpop products? Let me know your favourites!

Make Up For Ever Water Blend Foundation Review

Long time no see blog friends. Now that summer's here, I'm hoping to have a few more blog posts up my sleeve, considering it won't be as busy at work. I'll keep them short and sweet, so I will get them out in a timely fashion of course. I got the chance to review Make Up For Ever Water Blend foundation, courtesy of Glam Sense.
make up for ever, make up for ever water blend foundation, make up for ever water blend foundation review
The Water Blend foundation is a super lightweight foundation, made with 80% water, and enriched with pro-vitamin B5. The coverage is super sheer, but buildable, and it's almost like your skin but better.

make up for ever, make up for ever water blend foundation, make up for ever water blend foundation review
I got the shade Y305 - soft beige, which was a tad too light for me. but would probably be great for in the winter time.

make up for ever, make up for ever water blend foundation, make up for ever water blend foundation review
I am more of a full coverage foundation girl, but I thought I should give this a chance. I have a lot of discolouration around my eyes, pimples here and there, and redness basically everywhere.

make up for ever, make up for ever water blend foundation, make up for ever water blend foundation review
This is three layers of the foundation. I couldn't use the blender they provided, I felt like it was smearing the product around more than anything. I ended up using my fingers to blend it all out, and a damp Beauty Blender to buff it all out. You definitely have to wait at least a minute before each layer, because the foundation moves if it's not fully set. Even with 3 layers, you can still see my pimples, and a little bit of redness. It definitely looks natural, but not the best of coverage for my skin needs.

make up for ever, make up for ever water blend foundation, make up for ever water blend foundation review
Here it is with a setting powder. The foundation itself feels like I'm wearing absolutely nothing. It gives you a dewy glow, which I presume is sought out for in the summer months. The one thing I disliked though was the scent. It has quite the strong fragrant smell, a bit floralish. Not the biggest fan of that. I would definitely wear it on days I don't feel like wearing a heavy foundation, but want some coverage, considering I don't have perfect skin.

I received this product free from Glam Sense by Topbox. All opinions are my own.

L'oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation Review

Quick Life Update:
So yeah, I went MIA from my blog for almost two months now LOL. Honestly, I literally got a new full time job after my last post, and my life did a complete 180 after that. Being at work from 7am to 7pm (sometimes even up to 11pm), really takes a toll on your life and hobbies. My weekends are spent with my boyfriend since I barely talk or see him during the weekdays. All we do is hang with our friends or run errands. I had to put blogging on the side until I could find the time to properly write posts again. Here we are for the long weekend, and I finally found time to sit in front of my laptop. I'm hoping I can try to post at least once a week, or a few times a month. Sorry for leaving everyone without notice! Now on to the review :)

I normally only like talking about things I love on my blog, but sometimes there's moments where you come across a product, that you totally want to love.. and just don't. I'm not here to bash the product, but to share my first impression on it. I was stoked to hear that L'oreal was coming out with a full coverage foundation. I was so up for it.

I previously reviewed the L'oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation, and even used it regularly for a while. I loved it. I was had high hopes for this foundation.

This foundation has a natural finish with full coverage. The texture is air light and it's suppose to last 24 hours.

I chose the shade natural beige, because anytime I purchase a shade that has the word "beige" in it, it's the right shade for me. BOY WAS I WRONG. It was too light. I should've went a shade darker. I still used it though, and bronzed the shit out of my face. It wasn't all that great.

loreal infallible, loreal infallible foundation, loreal infallible total cover foundation, loreal infallible total cover foundation review, loreal infallible total cover foundation natural beige, loreal infallible foundation natural beige
I loved that it came in a sleek tube with a squeezable tip. Super handy when it comes to controlling the amount of foundation you want to come out.

loreal infallible, loreal infallible foundation, loreal infallible total cover foundation, loreal infallible total cover foundation review, loreal infallible total cover foundation natural beige, loreal infallible foundation natural beige
It's funny how much more yellow and dark it looks on my arm, but it's super white on my face. Anyways, that's not the point here. Upon first use, I was happy to see that the texture was super air light, almost like a mousse foundation. The thing with that though, is sometimes it could appear drying on my skin. I guess that's not all a bad thing, considering I have very oily skin.

loreal infallible, loreal infallible foundation, loreal infallible total cover foundation, loreal infallible total cover foundation review, loreal infallible total cover foundation natural beige, loreal infallible foundation natural beige
You can already see that it looks super dried out on my arm, and I literally just swatched the foundation on my arm.

loreal infallible, loreal infallible foundation, loreal infallible total cover foundation, loreal infallible total cover foundation review, loreal infallible total cover foundation natural beige, loreal infallible foundation natural beige
It blended out very nicely though, on my arm and on my face. The coverage was definitely full, and it did an amazing job making my face look clear and even. Even using a Silisponge to blend it out, I had no problems or issues at all. My face looked damn flawless, despite the fact the colour was a bit too light on me. I wore it only for a 6 hour shift at work. Normally, at the 3 hour mark, I would have to blot my face, even with my favourite foundation. This stuff did not last at all. I looked like a hot mess by the 3 hour mark. The foundation felt super heavy on my face, like I was wearing a mask. I wear full coverage foundations every single day, and I work 12-15 hour days sometimes. I NEED a foundation that lasts all day, and doesn't feel heavy after a few hours. Surprisingly, there was no separation around my nose, and it stayed intact when I blotted my face.

It wasn't for me though. As amazing as the coverage was, I hated the fact it felt really heavy by the middle of the day. I love wearing a lot of make-up but I don't want to feel like I'm wearing a lot, if that makes any sense. Don't get me wrong, the foundation did wonders on providing the full coverage I wanted, but it didn't feel fresh all day. I could see myself wearing this if I needed something quick to go out and run errands, and I didn't want to look like a hot mess. Otherwise, it's a big pass on me and my oily skin.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick Review

lancome review, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick review, 330 bisque n, chick advisor
I'm forever thankful when great opportunities are brought upon me. I got a chance to review the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick through Chick Advisor, and I couldn't be happier. I was in the market to try a new foundation for the winter months, and this was a new type of foundation I've been eager to re-try.

lancome review, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick review, 330 bisque n, chick advisor
A little about this foundation stick. It claims to last 24 hours, provides all day colour, and has a matte finish. It also has a powder-creme formula, and SPF 21.

lancome review, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick review, 330 bisque n, chick advisor
It comes in a sleek little tube, very simple. The price is quite steep ($50) for quite the small amount of product. I found that swiping a little bit made a difference in the amount you had left.

lancome review, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick review, 330 bisque n, chick advisor
The stick. The foundation glides on effortlessly. It's not drying, but not that wet either.

lancome review, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick review, 330 bisque n, chick advisor
I feel like from this swatch, you can see that the stick is not super creamy, but not too drying either. It applies very easily, and the pigmentation is amazing for one swipe.

lancome review, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick review, 330 bisque n, chick advisor
Here I am with no make-up. I have discolouration around my eyes, and redness everywhere else. Don't mind my untamed eyebrows, it's been a while since I got them waxed.

lancome review, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick review, 330 bisque n, chick advisor
I applied it everywhere as needed. After the first layer, I went on for about 2 more layers to try and build up the coverage. It definitely stayed at a medium coverage, despite me caking on the product.

lancome review, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick, lancome teint idole ultra longwear foundation stick review, 330 bisque n, chick advisor
Here is the final look. The foundation looked great and felt very light. It wasn't at all heavy, and was like my skin but better. It didn't stick around my nose very well though.

Verdict?
Pros: The foundation was super easy to apply, making it great for days I need a quick make-up look, without the hassle of having to blend out my liquid foundation. For something so dry compared to a liquid foundation, it worked well with my Beauty Blender. It definitely provided that matte finish that I'm looking for, considering I have very oily skin. It lasted for about 6-7 hours before some oil started peaking out around my nose and on my cheeks.
Cons: The smell of the foundation. It smelt like crayons, but it wasn't super smelly unless you actually put your nose up to it. It didn't last 24 hours like it claimed. I found it to rub off easily around my nose, so it didn't last long at all over my oily skin. It didn't have the coverage I was hoping for. Yes, it was very pigmented, but when blended, it only stayed a medium coverage foundation. Maybe if I used a brush it would be different? I'll have to try that out later.

Overall Thoughts?
I enjoyed using this foundation, especially on days I wanted a light foundation and a "my face my better" look. It provided me with a natural look, and didn't feel heavy or cakey at all. It's a great foundation for people who don't want that full coverage, but still want to cover their blemishes and discolouration. Maybe when my skin gets drier in the winter months, the foundation will work better for me? For now as my skin still is oily, this foundation will have to sit on the sidelines until then.

This product was sent to me for reviewing and testing purposes.
All opinions are my own.

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation Review

urban decay, urban decay all nighter, urban decay all nighter foundation, urban decay all nighter foundation review, urban decay all nighter foundation shade 7.0, all nighter foundation review
It's about time I got my hands on a new high end foundation to try. When it comes to looking for a good foundation, all I really care about is how it holds up until the end of the day. I've heard wonderful things about the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation, and seeing as the All Nighter Setting Spray is one of my all time favourites, I had high hopes for this foundation.

urban decay, urban decay all nighter, urban decay all nighter foundation, urban decay all nighter foundation review, urban decay all nighter foundation shade 7.0, all nighter foundation review
Sporting some awesome packaging, the All Nighter Foundation is a full coverage, matte, and oil-free. It also claims to be waterproof, which is pretty cool if it is!

urban decay, urban decay all nighter, urban decay all nighter foundation, urban decay all nighter foundation review, urban decay all nighter foundation shade 7.0, all nighter foundation review
It also comes with a pump, which is always a plus in my books. No more dumping my foundation out to use it!

One thing I did have difficulty in was finding my shade. I normally match my shade with one of my favourite Youtubers (Saaammage), but for this foundation, it didn't match me! I figured it was because I probably tanned more than her this summer, and that was definitely the case.

It looks really orange on the underside of my arm. I still think the shade is too dark for me, but when paired with my setting powder, it looks amazing.

I originally was going to go with shade 4.0 (which was Saaammage's shade), but the girl working at Sephora grabbed a 7. Crazy difference!

Here is the swatches I made in store. Any .5 shades have a pink undertone and would not work for me. I'm pretty sure in the winter I'm going to be a 5 or even a 4 if I really lighten up.

Here is my no make-up selfie. My main focus when it comes to wearing foundation is covering up my redness around my nose and on my nose. I also like evening out my skintone.

urban decay, urban decay all nighter, urban decay all nighter foundation, urban decay all nighter foundation review, urban decay all nighter foundation shade 7.0, all nighter foundation review
Let me just say, a little goes a long way with this foundation. I've tried full coverage foundations in the past that made my face feel so dry and cakey. This foundation is fairly light for a full coverage, and doesn't get cakey when you build up the layers. Amazing.

urban decay, urban decay all nighter, urban decay all nighter foundation, urban decay all nighter foundation review, urban decay all nighter foundation shade 7.0, all nighter foundation review
I feel like it's too dark for me still, but it appears to match my neck and arm. Maybe I'm just not used to being that tanned!

A little bit of shiny peeking through, but not a big deal.

urban decay, urban decay all nighter, urban decay all nighter foundation, urban decay all nighter foundation review, urban decay all nighter foundation shade 7.0, all nighter foundation review
Okay, I have to admit it looks pretty damn terrible at the 6 hour mark. The foundation itself held up against the oil though. Normally by the end of the day my foundation would be melting off my face and peeks of redness would be showing through. Not for this foundation. Despite getting oily, my face still looked flawless. After using this foundation for a few weeks now though, I determined that mixing the foundation with a new concealer I got (Kat Von D Lock It Concealer Creme), was causing my skin to look shiny faster. When the foundation is used alone, it held up for a few more hours.

urban decay, urban decay all nighter, urban decay all nighter foundation, urban decay all nighter foundation review, urban decay all nighter foundation shade 7.0, all nighter foundation review
After blotting my face, my foundation still looks great. Despite the hiccup in testing, I love this foundation.

Here is a selfie using the foundation.

Verdict? This may replace my holy grail Estee Lauder Double Wear now! The coverage is absolutely amazing with this foundation. Normally my foundations would cake up in the crevice between my nostril and face, and this one blends in there like a dream. The foundation itself holds up really well to hot summer days and being out and about for hours. I still do get oily throughout the day, but blotting sheets are a life saver. The only thing is that the shades are a bit hard to match, for me at least. I will definitely be repurchasing and getting a lighter shade as the winter months approach!
