My 24th Birthday Wishlist

This was a long overdue post that took me way too long to write. I took about 3 weeks to comprise this wishlist, because honestly, I didn't really know what I truly wanted for my birthday. This is more of a birthday "I think I want" wishlist. Now that I'm turning 24, I kind of feel like I already have all the things I could ever want. These are just items I feel would put a smile on my face if I were to get it, but if I didn't get it, I don't think I'd be disappointed.

Some of you may see this as just a wishlist, but you can also think of this as a great gift guide for someone else's birthday/anniversary/any occasion! I'll link all of my wishlist items below as well.

adidas, kat von d, kat von d shade light palette, fitbit, beauty blender, tarte, tartelette, imac, kindle, chrissy teigen
1. Adidas Women's Tubular Viral Shoes (Grey) or (White) - Personally, I'm not the biggest buyer of shoes unless my shoes are really worn out with holes in them haha. I only recently started liking runners since I started going to the gym, and these ones really stood out to me. In the photo I used though, the grey ones appear blue, but it is definitely a gorgeous smoke grey. I definitely love the white ones as well, but if I had to choose.. grey because it would be easier to take care of. I think I love these shoes because they kind of remind me of Yeezy Boosts, which I know I'll never be able to afford!

2. Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette - This eyeshadow palette has been on the top of my list of eyeshadow palettes to pick up, and I just never made the jump. I've heard so many good things about it, and I absolutely adore all the shades. It's just another one of those items that I always leave off buying and purchase something else instead, despite how much I want it in my collection.

3. Fitbit Alta (Teal): I am one of those people who enjoy tracking their daily activities and steps. I already have a Jawbone Up! fitness tracker that I clip to my pants, but that's the problem. Having to clip it onto my body. Because of that I constantly forget to wear it, and now that the battery is dead, I keep forgetting to buy a battery for it! I've been in the market for a new fitness tracker, and I found that this one suited my needs, and looked cute. I find that having the ability to have it attached to your arm like a watch, makes tracking so much easier, and without the worry of forgetting it since it won't be attached to your clothing.

4. BeautyBlender Micro Mini Correct Four Set - Recently, I've been reaching for my Viseart Corrector, Contour, Camouflage Palette, to help with colour correcting my skin. I've been using my fingers to warm up the product, and my Beauty Blender to blend out the rest. I was originally in the market for the original micro Beauty Blender, but after seeing this set, I cannot resist. It would work great for concealing around my nose and for colour correcting my problem areas.

5. Tartelette in Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette - Despite the mixed reviews for the original Tartelette Eyeshadow Palette, it's definitely one of my favourite go-to palettes. I love that the in Bloom palette offers gorgeous warm toned shades, and this time, offers a mix of matte and luster finishes. Another one of those palettes I would love to have in my collection, but just haven't gotten around to purchasing it.

6. Apple iMac - I've been wanting an iMac for a while now. I don't necessarily need it, but I would prefer something with a bigger screen, and that can handle a lot of work load. My Macbook Pro has been very reliable for the last 4 years I believe, but I need something that could edit photos and videos with, without the sound of a jet airplane coming from the computer haha.

7. Amazon Kindle Paperwhite - I've been wanting to read more recently, and I found that sometimes, holding a book gets pretty tiresome when you're laying in bed reading. I tried reading with my Samsung tablet, but I found it to be too bright and it kind of hurt my eyes reading for long periods of time. This is one of those gifts that wouldn't be used THAT often, but would be great for the days I have time to sit down and finally start reading Harry Potter haha.

Cravings: Recipes for All The Foods You Want to Eat by Chrissy Teigen - I instantly fell in love with Chrissy Teigen after following her on instagram. She just seems like such a down-to-earth, silly, real person, despite being a celeb. When I found out she was releasing a cookbook, I knew I wanted it in my collection of cookbook (singular, because I have one LOL). I love trying new recipes and reading about them online, or browsing through books, so hey, why not try hers?

Beauty Wishlist (#2) - Holiday Edition

Its been a while friends. Today I am back with my beauty wishlist! I would of called it my Christmas wishlist because these are items I hope to receive for Christmas, but knowing me, I will probably be buying these eventually on my own hehehehe. Most of these items are actually or have been released for the holiday season and I'm super stoked for it. This is my favourite time of the year because its fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas all jam packed in the next 3 months, so I'm all for making a bunch of wishlists! Here are the products I'm looking to purchase soon, and maybe you will want to as well.

1. Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick -  I follow Kat Von D on Instagram and man, I've been looking forward to trying one of these lipsticks since I've seen her prototypes for the packaging. I absolutely love the packaging for her studded kiss lipsticks and there is also a huge variety in shades. If you're in the market to purchase one of her full sized lipsticks, but aren't willing to spend the full price on it, this set is for you. I was planning to purchase a full sized lipstick but I couldn't decide which colour I wanted. This set gives me the opportunity to try different colours and maybe one day purchase one in full size.
2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette -  I have a rather large blush collection as it is, but this is one blush palette I believe is worth buying. I've heard amazing things about Hourglass' Ambient Blushes in general, and what a better way to try out their blushes than this blush palette? First of all, who finishes a whole blush that quickly anyways? This blush palette is really worth the value, considering one Ambient Blush is already $41. It contains two colours from their regular line and one limited edition colour to the palette.
3. Too Faced Melted Kisses Set - Another lipstick set you're going to want to purchase for the holidays. I already own Too Faced Melted Lipstick in "Melted Candy" and I absolutely love it. If you want to see how it looks on me, check out this post here. I love the formula for the liquified lipsticks and the fact they are long lasting. I was planning to purchase 2 of the 4 colours in this set by themselves, so I was happy to see that they came out with a set! Of course they aren't full sized, but I take a while to finish my lipsticks so this set is a must buy in my books.
4. Lorac Mega Pro Palette - I'm super disappointed that Sephora does not sell Lorac anymore because I want this Mega Pro Palette. I've seen the swatches of the shades and they are very pigmented. It comes with a vast amount of warm toned shades and many neutral colours. I need this in my lifeeee. Unfortunately, with the link I provided its currently sold out on Amazon and even on the Lorac website, but keep checking back, or even add your email to get notified when its back in stock!

Do you have your eye on any beauty products for this holiday season?

Back To School Wishlist + ModCloth 40% New Arrivals Promotion!

Howdy friends. School is approaching rapidly and I am no where near prepared. No school supplies, no new outfits. This is the first year where I'm slacking on getting ready because I'm not ready to go back. I'm dreading it. I shouldn't be though, because its my last year, AND I only have to be at school physically for one day a week haha. I don't know why I'm really complaining then!

Today I will be showing you my top back to school picks featuring items from ModCloth. If you don't know what ModCloth is, let me give you a brief explanation! ModCloth is an online retailer that specializes in vintage-inspired clothing, accessories and decor. Everyday at 12pm EST/9am PT, they have new arrivals of almost anything you could be looking for.

ModCloth currently ships to over 50 countries around the world. If you want to see if they ship to your country, just click here!

BUT WAIT!

This Monday August 18 at 9am Pacific Time, ModCloth will be having 40% off dozens of new arrivals! Thats right, 40% off! There is no better time to update your wardrobe than right now. Usually I post Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, but I thought it would be better to let you guys in on this sale the day before, instead of the day of. Don't wait on it though because this sale ends Thursday at 10am Pacific Time, and once an item is out of stock, its gone! Okay time to start the wishlist.

There was A LOT of things that I wanted to add to this wishlist because there are just SO many things I wanted, BUT I decided to be practical and only add things that I would actually wear or bring to school.

Back to School Wishlist
1. Stroke of Genus Flat in White: I have to admit, I squealed a bit when I first saw these flats. THEY'RE SO CUTE. You're just walking down the street one day and you look down. BAM you have pandas on your feet. I am so in love with these!! White is always a bad choice for me when it comes to shoes, but you can't resist panda flats.
2. Perks and Recreation Bag: I've never really had an interest in structured/rectangular bags, but this one really caught my eye. You can't tell in this picture how big the bag actually is, but its a perfect purse to use when you're out on the town or even for school. I usually only bring my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 for note taking, so this is the perfect size to carry it.
3. Feeling Spine Tank: Lately I've been obsessed with bones and the human body, so I felt this tank top suited me well. I love being comfortable when I go to school, I'm all about comfort, not couture.
4. Galaxy's Greatest Glow in the Dark Leggings: You saw that right. These are GLOW IN THE DARK leggings. That is all I have to say about that.
5. Barks and Recreation Booties: I'm not one to wear anything heeled to school, but these are an exception. Perfectly paired with black leggings or a dark washed skinny jeans, this is the perfect bootie for a brisk fall day.
6. Tranquil Travels Weekend Bag: Easily could be used as a school bag, but I prefer this bag for what its meant for: a weekend bag. I spend my weekends at my boyfriends house, and sometimes I always overpack. This usually requires me packing a backpack and a huge purse. This duffle bag will make my life so much easier since its gigantic and easy to carry.
7. Wisdom by Winston Tee: I've also had a thing for animal tees lately. I recently purchased a t-shirt from Winners that had a cat wearing glasses on it. Simply adorable and hilarious. This one has a pug wearing glasses too!

If you are interested in purchasing any of the products I listed above, you can check them all out here.

Once again, the 40% off selected new arrival promotion starts Monday at 9am Pacific Time/12pm Eastern Time, so if you're on the opposite side of the world, make sure to check when the sale starts for you!

Whats your style like when you go to school? Honestly, mine is lazy and comfy 99% of the time haha. Let me know in the comments below!

Beauty Wishlist (#1)

Today's post is going to be a little different than my regular posts. It definitely is something new for me but very popular in the beauty blogger world. This is my first beauty wishlist!

What is a beauty wishlist?
A beauty wishlist is just a collage and collection of beauty items you currently want, or I guess are planning to purchase. Surprisingly, my beauty wishlist is pretty small because I've been putting myself on a make-up ban since I want to start using products I already have. These are just some products I've read about recently and maybe in the near future, hope to own them in my collection.

My Beauty Wishlist!

1. Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in"Fuchsia Irresistible" (205): I actually randomly came upon this shade of lipstick from a tweet from Temptalia's twitter which was just a question about lipsticks. The shade itself is a gorgeous fuchsia. When I started to enjoy wearing lipstick, my go to colour was a bright fuchsia. I know, weird that my first lipstick colour to really love was something super vibrant. My all time favourite Fuchsia lipstick is the Sephora Collection Colour Lip Last in "Royal Raspberry" and I've loved it ever since. This Givenchy lipstick is super similar in colour, but I'm more interested in the packaging and formula. I've never owned a Givenchy lipstick, but if I plan to, this will be my first choice of purchase.

2. Givenchy Terre Exotique Healthy Glow Powder: I guess I'm on a roll with wanting to try Givenchy products now haha. Okay, I have to admit, the real reason I originally wanted this was because of the way the bronzer itself looks. ITS SO PRETTY. I don't think it would work well on me for a bronzer because its a fairly light shade of bronzer, but it would make an amazing all over face powder. I love the embossed detail in the bronzer, which would be super sad to see fade away during use. Unfortunately its sold out at Sephora online, and I have a feeling its limited edition so I'm glad I'm only in love with how it looks haha.

3. Urban Decay Perversion Angled Brush: If you know me, or have seen any of my selfies or pictures, you will know that I am an eyeliner girl. I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, have black eyeliner on, winged, cat eye, you name it. My favourite type of eyeliner to wear is gel liner, and I definitely need a really good brush to use. This one is currently on my top lists of eyeliner brushes to get, because of the amazing reviews about how soft the bristles are, and how smooth the liner goes on. A definite must buy in my books.

4. Make Up For Ever Mat Bronze in "Cinnamon" (30): To clarify, the one featured in my picture is not of the colour Cinnamon, I just used it because I couldn't find the right picture in the program I was using to make the collage. Anywho, If you've read a lot of my blog posts, I constantly talk about bronzers because bronzers are the best thing in the world. I don't think I've ever tried any Make Up For Ever face products before and this is one I would love to try. The shade is very similar to Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder in "Ebony", which I mentioned in my Top 6 Bronzers blog post. Unlike the Guerlain bronzer, this one is completely matte, whereas the Guerlain one has a slight golden shimmer in it. I probably should see the shades in person because as much as I love dark bronzers, this shade is SUPER dark, and possibly too dark for me. I could even go for shade 40 as well.

5. Viktor and Rolf: Flowerbomb: I know this is a pretty old perfume but oh my god does it smell amazing. I got a few samples to smell from a bunch of magazines, and the smell is just so addicting. I can't get over how amazing it is. I'm not the type of person to buy perfume personally because I have gotten so many free samples, but I think I will be purchasing this in the near future (or ask for it for Christmas hehe).

Have you tried any of these products before? What are your thoughts?
