My Night Time Skincare Routine

As many of us know, taking care of your skin and the proper removal of make-up is crucial to keeping your skin healthy and clean. As a beauty lover and connoisseur, skincare is one thing I am terrible at. I possess the terrible trait of being a sloth all the time, which means I always half-ass things as my boyfriend always says to me. If I'm feeling extremely lazy I will cut my skin care routine in half, but otherwise today, I will be showing you my full routine on days where I push myself to keep my skin healthy!

Here is my 7 Step Night Time Skincare Routine:
7 Steps does seem like a reason to want to not take care of your skin doesn't it? Keeping your skin clean though is important to avoid unwanted breakouts! I learn the hard way literally the day after I don't wash my face properly, and suffer the consequences of bad breakouts :(

Step 1: Sonia Kashuk Make-up Eye Make-Up Remover: One of my favourite steps in my routine, because of the ease of use. I am saying this now, this is one of my all time favourite eye make-up removers. It removes even the most stubborn of mascaras and liners and its super gentle on your eyes.
Step 2: Olay Fresh Effects Everything Off! Make-up Wipes: Now this product is not usually one that I use all the time, but it is currently one that I am trying. I'm currently reviewing a bunch of make-up wipes for a blog post, so this is the one I'm trying to finish now. I love make-up wipes because if you're lazy like me, this is your ticket to finishing faster hahaha.
Step 3: Bioderma Sensibio H2O Make-up Removing Solution: This stuff is AMAZING. If you don't know what this product is, where have you been the past few years?! I use this as my last first step of my night time routine because it makes my face feel super clean and soft after using a make-up wipe. If I were feeling lazy that night, this is usually my last step because my face already feels super clean (but it probably isn't).

Step 4: Boscia Make-Up BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil: This product was actually featured in my very first Sephora haul! This cleansing oil requires no water and you apply directly on your dry face. It breaks up all your make-up and dissolves impurities. I could completely skip steps 1-3 and just jump to this, but since I always wear a lot of eyeliner, my face gets way too messy to skip those crucial steps.
Step 5: Skin 1004 Foam Cleanser: I actually received this product from my first Memebox which you can check out here. I've grown to love this product fairly quickly because it keeps definitely absorbs any excess oil on my face and my face feels dry as a bone after (though that does sound a bit like a bad thing haha). I guess since I always have really oily skin, I love the feeling of having a clean dry face.

Step 6: Simple Soothing Facial Toner: This is often one step that I skip way too often. This step keeps your skin feeling smooth and refreshed, and also provides that extra removal of stuff left behind from your cleanser.
Step 7: PCA Skin Clearskin Phaze 18 Moisturizer: My mom is an aesthetician and skincare consultant so she usually knows what shes doing when she gives me skincare products. I was always skeptical at first but it was always because I never gave the products my mom gave me a chance. I know, I'm a horrible person. This is by far the best moisturizer I have EVER used in my life. After the foam cleanser and toner, my face feels like it needs a bit of moisturizing, and this does the trick. At first this product feels way too oily and moisturizing, but trust me, it absorbs super quickly and keeps your face looking smooth and flawless. I will never purchase another moisturizer for my face ever again after using this for many months now.

Do you take really good care of your skin? What products do you recommend I use?
My skincare problems are:
- oily skin
- sensitive skin
- acne prone skin
- redness

Thanks for taking your time to read this blog post :)

  2. I have my lazy moments too when I just want to go to bed without washing up >_< Makeup wipes are a must have for me when I have these moments, they're so convenient!
I'm currently using the Pixi Glow Tonic and I really like it! It uses natural ingredients to gently exfoliate and tone your skin, so I think it might be a good fit for those with more sensitive skin :)

  4. You are good with that skincare routine! I don't wear a base so mine is just a eye make up wipe and some moisturiser+SPF... I've lived without cleansers etc so a long time so I'm a bit scared that if I start using them it will break me out! x

    1. wow you have such flawless skin I'm so jealous! I need foundation because I have so much redness so I want to even out my skintone. Definitely stay away from cleansers then since you don't use it on a daily basis. I kind of wish I never started because I never had to before!

  5. I feel you girl! I have acne-prone sensitive skin too and it's really a struggle. I really love using my Witch Hazel Toner to leave my skin feeling clean.
