February 2017 Morphe Me Brushes Review

The best part of every month is seeing what amazing brushes I get to add to my collection. February's Morphe Me brushes was smaller than most, but these brushes are top notch.

Lets start with a little more information on what Morphe Me is. Morphe Me is a subscription box service that sends you at least $30 worth of brushes to your door every month for $19.99/month.
Currently, the subscription only ships to Canada and the United States.
Besides receiving up to $30 in brushes, Morphe also offers discounts on Morphe products, first access to new Morphe products, and even how to videos every month on how you can use your new brushes.

This month's subscription features brushes from the gunmetal collection. My first Morphe brush that I ever owned was actually from the gunmetal collection, that I purchased a few years ago at IMATS. It's what started my obsession with Morphe brushes.

Too small to use as an all over buffing brush, but it's small size does the job for contouring.

I especially love how soft the brushes are.

I'm still on the fence about this brush and whether or not I like it.

It has a very unique shape that works well on your under eye area. Lately, I've been using a damp beauty blender to blend out my concealer, considering how flaky and dry that area gets. This brush may work better for me when my skin gets more oily during the summer months.

Probably my favourite brush from this month, the round powder is one of my new favourites.

february 2017 morphe me brushes, morphe me brushes review, february morphe me brushes
The bristles are nice and dense and the size is perfect for buffing out your baked face, or even your contour. This is a multi-purpose brush for me, as I love using it to blend out my contour and my excess powder on my face. It gives me that flawless, airbrush look, and I love it!

Final Verdict:
Price of Subscription: $19.99USD/month + shipping = $26.06CAD
Number of Products: 3
Value of box: $31.97

Good!

The brushes this month were definitely up there in quality, but didn't have that wow factor I wanted. As much as I love the gunmetal collection, I wasn't a huge fan of 2 of the 3 brushes I received. I guess you can't please everybody! The one thing I like about the subscription though, is that everyone gets the same brushes, so we aren't all missing out on each others when we read another person's review. I'll still be continuing my subscription with Morphe Me, until I feel I have a substantial amount of brushes haha.

January 2017 Morphe Me Brushes Review

Literally the last day of January, and I decided to squeeze out this post now. Oh well, better late than never! I was contemplating even putting it out because I didn't write a post for my other brushes the previous months, but I felt that these brushes could use some blog love. Since I also have a new camera, I decided to test everything the waters with my new camera and lighting, and so far so good!

YAS. I LOVEEEE the brushes I got this month.

This is the brush you use to buff the hell out of your face. No harsh lines for those natural looking contours.

The brushes in this collection are also extra soft. Love love love.

This huge fluffy brush is perfect for finishing off your face with your favourite powder.

This brush feels amazing when it glides across your face. The one thing I do wish is that the bristles were shorter. I find it to be too long and it makes the brush quite flimsy. I love myself a dense powder brush to buff in my make-up powders.

I'm not a fan of applying foundation with a brush, but I'm probably going to give it a shot. It's been quite a few years since I've use a brush, so this should be fun.

The brush itself is very soft and gentle on the skin, unlike previous foundation brushes I've owned in the past. If it doesn't work out with my foundation, I could always use it as a mask applicator brush.

It's crazy to think that Morphe could make good quality brushes at such an affordable price.

I'm not one to use a brush for my concealers, but it's worth a shot. I could also see myself using a flat brush like this for applying cream contour on the sides of my nose.

I love lip brushes, because it's impossible to find one that doesn't do the job for me.

The flat brush with the nice pointed tip, really works well with the curves of your lip, so you can really get that precise edge.

Worth every penny!

This months brushes were definitely worth every penny. Lately, I've been on the fence with cancelling my subscription. Honestly, I'm so glad I didn't. I definitely would have a severe case of FOMO (fear of missing out), if I cancelled it and saw these brushes on another blog.

September 2016 Morphe Me Brushes Review

Yes, I'm a little late for September's Morphe Me Brushes, but it's only October 1st. Can you believe it's already October?! Next thing you know, Christmas is here. I couldn't be more excited.

Lets start with a little more information on what Morphe Me is. Morphe Me is a subscription box service that sends you at least $30 worth of brushes to your door every month for $19.99/month. They also have the an annual fee option of $239.99 that also includes a free 35O palette, which is a gorgeous eyeshadow palette that's sought out by every make-up lover and the like.
Currently, the subscription only ships to Canada and the United States.

Upon hearing about the release of the rose gold collection, I was 90% sure we were going to receive a few brushes from that collection.

I was correct, of course! I was stoked to receive these brushes because I absolutely love rose gold anything.

This month's theme was "goal diggers".

The sticker for the month.

The R5 brush is a contour brush that works well for applying precise amounts of powder anywhere on your face. It's versatile to use as a contour brush, a baking brush, or even a highlight brush.

The R37 is perfect for blending eyeshadow in your crease. The pointed tip allows precise application in your crease, and the fluffy brush does wonders on blending everything out.

Very similar to the R37, the R38 can also be used to blend your crease. This brush can also serve many purposes; such as contouring your nose and applying highlighter to your cheeks.

The R41 I found to work the best for blending eyeshadow in your lower lash line. It also did great for highlighting your inner eye corners too.

July 2016 Morphe Me Brushes Review

Hi again! Let us review the July Morphe Me Brushes before the month is over. Can you believe it's almost August? The summer is just zooming by way too fast :(

This month's bag came with 5 brushes. 3 from the new elite 2 collection (which is not yet released to the public), and 2 from the lines they already carry.

july morphe me brushes, july 2016 morphe me brushes, morphe brushes, morphe me brushes, morphe me subscription review
This brush is stiff enough to clean the edges of your winged eyeliner, or even line your lashes. I've been looking for a good brush to clean up the liner mistakes I always make, and this one does a great job.

july morphe me brushes, july 2016 morphe me brushes, morphe brushes, morphe me brushes, morphe me subscription review
The mini pointed powder brush is similar to the brush they had in the previous bag, except smaller. It works great for contouring the cheekbones or even powdering under your eyes. I love the brushes in the elite collection. They're significantly softer than their regular brushes.

july morphe me brushes, july 2016 morphe me brushes, morphe brushes, morphe me brushes, morphe me subscription review
I love this crease brush for packing on colour to my outer eye. It also does a great job applying highlighter in your inner corners too.

july morphe me brushes, july 2016 morphe me brushes, morphe brushes, morphe me brushes, morphe me subscription review
The fan brush did come with a plastic cover, but the stray hairs were still there once I removed it. The brush could have been in better condition, but I can easily pluck them out. This fan brush is great for highlighting my cheekbones, but I still prefer my Luxiebeauty Highlight brush.

july morphe me brushes, july 2016 morphe me brushes, morphe brushes, morphe me brushes, morphe me subscription review
The pointed blender is probably my favourite of all the brushes this month. It blends eyeshadows like a dream. It's super fluffy but not too flimsy, so it blends effortlessly. This brush also works wonders contouring your nose, helping you get that nose job look without spending barely a dime LOL. (if that's what you're going for haha)

I can't really put a price on this bag since a majority of these brushes aren't yet released. I would say it was well worth it though. I love bags with a variety of both face and eye brushes. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my July Morphe Me brushes.

(UPDATED: ELITE 2 COLLECTION IS OUT NOW AND IS PERMANENT!!)

This is my second month of my Morphe Me subscription service, and so far I am loving it. I find that I do use the brushes they are providing, and I'm finding many ways to use them and incorporate them into my make-up routine. These three brushes this month are all from the Elite 2 Collection, which is actually an unreleased collection not yet available to the public! I made the mistake thinking my E1 brush from my May post was from the Elite Collection, but just a different colour. If you want to be the first to get your hands on this new collection, get your hands on the June MorpheMe box!

(Prices below are based on the Elite 1 Collection and may not be correct)

This was my favourite brush of the 3 this month. The precision pointed powder brush is extremely soft, and perfect for applying powder to my under eye area. It's very flexible and gentle, so it's perfect just for that. I found it great for also dusting loose powder all over my face. It's not dense enough for buffing, but just for light applications of powders.

The E4 angled contour brush was great for applying my contour on. It was more flimsy than most contour brushes I've used, since the bristles are a lot longer. I still need to use a different brush to blend and buff out the contour, but it does a wonderful job of applying and colour on.

This cute little round detailed crease brush worked great for applying highlight on the inner corner of my eyes, so no downsides to that. It's nice and dense to pack on the shades.

Awesome!

Overall, I enjoyed this months brushes. I'm all for face brushes because I always find more than one use for them, and the ones that I got feel very luxurious and work well. So far so good with the Morphe Me subscription!

May 2016 MorpheMe Brush Club Subscription Box Review

Ahhhhh, I'm so happy to be reviewing subscription boxes again! I used to love trying new subscription boxes, and receiving new products every month. Over time, I ended up cancelling the ones I had because the products never appealed to me. It's been a long journey researching many subscription boxes, but here I am because I finally found one that provides me with things I will use!

Lets start with a little more information on what Morphe Me is. Morphe Me is a subscription box service that sends you at least $30 worth of brushes to your door every month for $19.99/month. They also have the an annual fee option of $239.99 that also includes a free 350 palette, which is a gorgeous eyeshadow palette that's sought out by every make-up lover and the like.
Currently, the subscription only ships to Canada and the United States.
Besides receiving up to $30 in brushes, Morphe also offers discounts on Morphe products, first access to new Morphe products, and even how to videos every month on how you can use your new brushes.

When I first heard about Morphe Me, I wasn't all too thrilled. This month, they were offering a new brush that has yet to be released to the public, and Morphe Me members would be first to get their hands on it. I was intrigued, so I decided to take the plunge and join. With shipping, and maybe tax, I paid $26.06 for my box.

The mailer arrived about a week and a half later.

Morphe M433 Pro Firm Blending Fluff Brush - Value: $5.99

This brush is suppose to be a blending eyeshadow brush. Besides for blending, I found it to work great for packing on eyeshadow on your lids, and even using it as a nose contour brush.

morphe brushes, morphe, morphe me, morpheme, morphe me brush club subscription box, morphe me brush club subscription box review, may morphe me, may morphe me subscription box review, may morphe me brush club subsciption box review
The brush is fluffy and slightly rounded at the top. Because it's a bit flat, it makes a great brush for your lids.

You can never have enough blending brushes. The bristles on this brush are super soft, and the brush isn't so dense that the bristles will poke your lids. I got the idea to use this brush as a highlighting brush from the Morphe How To Videos on the liveglam website. It's amazing that they provide videos on how to use the brushes, for those who don't know! I especially liked that in the May video, Thomas showed alternate uses to the brushes besides using them for their intended purpose. This brush applies highlighter on like a dream. It blend the colour so effortlessly.

As you can see, I was too impatient and used the brush before I took the photos.

Now this was the brush that made me want to sign up. Already by itself, this brush basically paid for the subscription. The E1 brush comes from the Elite Collection of brushes, which are only offered for a limited time. This is probably the softest brush I own!

morphe brushes, morphe, morphe me, morpheme, morphe me brush club subscription box, morphe me brush club subscription box review, may morphe me, may morphe me subscription box review, may morphe me brush club subsciption box review
The brush is super luxurious, full and thick, it blends your powder so well.

I'm not too sure if I linked the right brush, because the picture on the site shows a grey top brush, whereas mine is a burgundy shade. It is the same brush name though. I use this brush to buff out my contour, and to blend my setting powder. Definitely my new favourite brush.

Final Verdict:
Price of Subscription: $19.99/month + shipping = $26.06
Number of Products: 3
Value of box: $34.97
Mel's Rating: 5/5
Amazing!!

I'm super happy about this subscription box because I'm actually using all three brushes in my daily routine now. I love face brushes, or even eye brushes that work for your face. I'll probably be pausing my subscription on the months that are mostly eyeshadow brushes, since I don't use eyeshadow on the daily. I rarely purchase make-up brushes, so this will be a nice treat every month. I love the idea of growing my brush collection, and finally getting the opportunity to try new Morphe brushes.
