As love month approaches, many of us will be scouring the interwebs for the perfect Valentine's Day look. Usually for V-Day, I like to keep it simple. My boyfriend has never been the type to enjoy my caked face days, and he sure won't be enjoying it that day either. Of course, I do love to glam up for myself, but sometimes I like to give him what he wants.
Today's review will be on the Arbonne Smoothed Over Lipstick in "Willow". Willow is an absolutely gorgeous nude pink, that would pair wonderfully with a bold smokey eye or even just a nice winged eyeliner. Nude pinks are my absolute favourite, because they are subtle, yet sexy.
Arbonne's Smoothed Over Lipsticks are extremely hydrating, smooth and spread like warm butter. The colour is extremely pigmented, and the lipstick plumps your lips too. I especially love what I find to be a berry scent to the lipstick too.
Effortless colour payoff. Be careful with how hard you press, because I learned that the hard way :( I did break my lipstick because the formula is extremely smooth, and I forgot how smooth it was, and applied too much pressure when swatching! It still works fine though! The finish is satin-glossy, but you could always dab with a napkin or apply powder to make it matte. I personally think it looks better with a bit of shine.
It's probably the lighting, but the colour comes off very nude on my lips but pink on my hand. Nonetheless, it's a gorgeous shade, and would pair with any type of smokey/winged liner look. I would probably just go with this make-up look for Valentine's Day. Simple and effortless!
