I'm occasionally one of those people who purchase products based on the hype. I heard a lot of buzz for this primer, and considering my foundation hasn't been cooperating lately, I felt maybe it was because I was using the wrong primer.
Today I will be reviewing the ever so popular Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector. I decided to purchase the mini version and not the full size, because I'm the type to not return a make-up product that I used. Unless of course, it breaks the bank. The mini version of the primer is only $18 considering the full sized is $44. A great way to test out the product over a period of time, before committing to a full size.
I've read countless reviews on this product that it works wonders, and it truly does control oil and keep your make-up in place ALL DAY. I've also read bad reviews that it just doesn't do anything. Maybe it's just hit or miss?
When you apply the product, you supposedly have to squeeze out a small amount on your finger, and dab it on your problem areas. Since the product dries up quickly, you have to work in sections. I've done this countless times, and though it does make my face look absolutely flawless, I'm an oily hot mess by the end of the day. I don't know what I did wrong, but it didn't keep my face matte at all. I tried it with two of my favourite foundations, and it didn't work. The first few hours of my day it held up nicely, and then it was downhill from there. Also, if you applied too much, or rubbed it in instead of dab, your make-up will look like utter crap all day. Sucked that by the end of my make-up application, my make-up looked dry and patchy. I could still be applying it wrong, but I just know, I won't be repurchasing this product unfortunately.
