Memebox Global #14 Unboxing + First Look

I've been putting this post off for SO long, I honestly think it's been over a month now! This is my third Memebox that I have received and it was jam packed full of neat stuff!

Shower Mate Perfume de Whip Body Wash (Full Size - $4 x2)

This is one of the first beauty boxes where I got body wash! I love body wash and I wish more beauty boxes let us try samples of them. I hate getting shampoos and conditioners because my hair already likes one, its not ready for something new! I find it weird seeing Marilyn Monroe on them but whatever, they smell great! 

Sally's Box 4 Set of Masks (Full size - $14)

Not one, but 4 masks! Whats great about this set is that they aren't all the same. They gave a variety of masks to try out which is awesome! 

Beauty People Miss 100 Super Waterproof Gel Liner (Full Size - $19)

What I love about beauty boxes/subscription boxes is the element of surprise. I love getting products I wouldn't think of buying. That is the main reason I love subscription boxes. This is a bronze liner/eyeshadow pencil, which is something I wouldn't think of picking up on my own. I also love that the girl on the pencil looks like Snow White haha.

VOV Good-Bye Black Smudge Waterproof Mascara (Full Size - $16)

I'm always happy to receive mascara, especially waterproof ones. I love the nautical blue, white and orange packaging! 

Kocostar 4 Package Set (Full Size - $20)

At first glance I thought "wow more face masks?", but to my surprise, this is a set of hair, nails, feet and a face mask! An amazing set to give yourself an instant spa day. 

Sua Young Mineral Essence Liquid Foundation (Deluxe Sample - $5.65)

I was ecstatic to see a foundation sample in my Memebox, but I did not let myself get my hopes up. As expected the shade was WAY too light for me. This is to be expected in Memeboxes because in Korea, a lot of Koreans prefer or already have very fair skin, so a lot of the skin products are extremely light. I mean, it could maybe work as a highlighter, or maybe a concealer, but otherwise this may be going to another home! 

Recipe by Nature Golden Time Vita Capsule Essence (Full Size - $42)

I've never heard of a vitamin essence before, but it looks rather intriguing. I was thrown off by the orange tinge, thinking it was some sort of perfume. This essence helps deliver deep nourishment and nutrition to your skin. It also helps balance your oil/moisture levels, and brightens your skin.

A;T Fox Fantasy Holic Lip & Cheek Designer Pencil (Full Size - $7)

Essentially a lip and cheek pencil. Not a huge, huge fan of these but the colour is very pretty.

I love Korean beauty products and I feel that Memeboxes are always way more than what you paid for.

Memebox Unboxing - #15 Waterproof Makeup

Here again with another Memebox unboxing!!! What I love most about Memebox is that every single item you get is a surprise. No major hints to what you will be getting besides the main theme of the box. The box I will be showing you today is the "Waterproof Makeup" box. Before I go into detail with what will be featured inside, lets give our new readers an insight to what Memebox is all about.

Memebox is currently one of the biggest online beauty retailers in Korea, and they specialize in curating these awesome non-subscription boxes. You choose which box sounds appealing to you, and each box will have 5-6 deluxe/full sized products!

The "Waterproof Makeup" box that I purchased is loaded with only makeup items that passed their "all-proof test". On the card that was provided in the box, it states that the products in this box defy the laws of makeup with its all-day long lasting staying power. I'm excited to test it out thats for sure!

Lets begin this unboxing!

Each Memebox comes with a product card, which is crucial to keep because it has all the product descriptions and how to use the products on it. Unless you can read Korean, you're going to need to keep the product cards! 

Rubelli Water Glow BB Cream 40ml - Full Size ($24)

I think its a known fact that Koreans have one of the best BB creams on the market (or so I've heard), so I'm happy to have received this in my box. 

Product Description: The illite powder component of the BB Cream works to adhere tightly onto enlarged pores, covering and evening them out into a very neutral and brighter tone. This BB cream not only contains anti-wrinkle, brightening, UV protection functions, but it also makes your skin look most natural and supple, as if you just applied a moisturizer. 

Wow, it does it all doesn't it??

Y.E.T Mission Impossible Lip Marker 1.7g - Full Size ($12)

 I am a bit iffy about this one because of the colour, but we will have to just try it on first before we judge!

Product Description: Highly waterproof and long-lasting, the Mission Impossible lip market glides smoothly and leaves a radiant yet naturally-gradated stain on your lips. It's rich in avocado oil, rosehip extracts, and macadamia oil, and thus mantains your lips moist and supple as well.

Its hard to believe that this marker will be waterproof AND be able to keep your lips moisturized as well. Most stains/matte lipsticks always dry out my lips, but I guess we will have to see. If you want a full review on this product, just let me know in the comments! 

Swatch:

 I'm not a huge fan of coral/orange-red lipsticks, so I don't know how good this will look with my skin tone and my teeth. Orange toned lippies tend to make my teeth look so yellow :(

Cheek Room Curl and Long Lash Mascara 8g - Full Size ($9)

 Can't go wrong with waterproof mascara!

Product Description: Cheek Room's famous Curl and Long Lash Mascara will add volume and strength to your short, thin eyelashes (how did they know?!) for a long-lasting, perfectly waterproof finish. The olive oil and resin components allow it to apply smoothly with a silky finish without clogging the lashes.

A closer look at the wand:

I am a huge fan of thin wands compared to hourglass or any other shape. It seems to work better for me, so this seems promising. 

Croquis Eye Shadow & Blusher 06 Shimmer Peach 4g - Full Size ($17)

 Sweet! Upon opening this up, I thought it was just an eyeshadow crayon, but its a blush too?

Product Description: When blended in with a darker colour shadow and liner, Croquis' waterproof, cream-type crayon can create a shimmery peach gradation eye makeup! It smoothly glides onto your eye and contours, giving it a nice, silky finish without being clumpy or sticky.

Colour Bucket Flash Pop-up Geller 0.5g - Full Size ($10)

 Not too excited about this because I recently did get a teal coloured liner from an Ipsy bag not too long ago.

Product Description: Colour Bucket is the new brand launched by Touch in Sol - a very famous Korean makeup brand renown for being in charge of numerous K-Pop idols' makeup! This "geller" is a waterproof, gel-type of eyeliner that comes in 10 different pop-up colours and glides onto your eyelids smoothly with an extremely long-lasting finish. 

Swatch:

 After I swatched it, the finish on it feels like it wouldn't be a waterproof type of liner. It feels too creamy, but I suppose I should let it set first before testing.

Enesti UV Cut Sun Block SPF 50+PA+++ Pink 40ml - Full Size ($15)

Can I just say, this is the cutest packaging I have ever seen for a sun block?! Its so feminine and whimsical. 

Product Description: Enesti's new UV Cut Sun Block is not only waterproof with a strong UV protection level, but it is also highly effective in toning out excess sebum and enlarged pores. Its gentle formula based on green tea and rosemary extracts works as a strong protective agent against the sun and other external toxins.

I've never heard of a sun block that also has skin benefits such as toning out excess sebum. I always hated the feeling of sunscreen and the smell too, so if this sunscreen will reduce my oiliness, then I am sold!

Pretty amazing! 

I am quite happy with the products that appeared in this Memebox. I've heard around the beauty community that Memeboxes are suppose to all have a value of 100+ dollars, so it was a bit disappointing to see it was a bit under. Pft, who cares, I still got a box with $87 bucks, and only paid $30 bucks for it!

Anywho, Memebox is arguably one of the best subscription boxes out there, since you choose which box you want, and there is no monthly charge for it. You pay for the boxes YOU want!

Memebox Unboxing - Superbox #28 Free From Oil and Trouble 3

Long time no talk friends. I've been MIA because this past weekend was Veld Music Festival. Boy oh boy, that was the best weekend I've ever had in a long time. Enough about that for now, lets get to the goodies.

What is Memebox?
Memebox which is pronounced "me-me" originates from Korea and is the leading online Korean retailer. Each box is carefully curated to offer their customers the best in Korean beauty, the hottest trends and Korea's favourites. This is not a monthly/semi-annually/annual beauty subscription. Memebox sends you emails whenever they have a new box available and you choose if you want to purchase it or not.

Should I get a Memebox or a Superbox? What's the difference?
Memebox, which is their original curated box, comes with 4-8 full sized and deluxe sized samples. This is the perfect box for people who want to try out some Korean beauty products. Memeboxes are usually $23.
Superbox is more for the adventurous type. These boxes are all themed and curated to fit one theme only. This box can be on the pricier side ($23-$80).

Memebox offers a variety of boxes each week, and almost all their boxes sell out fast. The one thing I dislike about Memebox is the wait for my box to be delivered. Boxes aren't delivered until their selected delivery date, and since they are coming from Korea, they can take up to 2-4 weeks. I am SO unpatient. My Superbox was shipped on July 17th, and arrived July 31st. That was about 2 weeks? Which isn't too bad.

Memebox always tries to make each box's value exceed well over $100, and that is absolutely amazing for them to do that. This is actually only 1 of the 4 Memeboxes I am currently waiting for, so I hope you guys are excited as I am!!

Lets begin.

 My Memebox came in this super adorable pink box. It was sealed inside a bubble wrap bag (I guess thats how I'll describe it). I kind of wish the lid of the box opened up like the Glossy Boxes, where the top was not attached to the whole box, but its still cute and reusable.

 This is the Superbox #28 - Free From Oil and Trouble 3. This is the third edition of the "free from oil and trouble box", and each Memebox/Superbox comes with a product card, stating everything that is in the box and what it does. Unless you can read Korean, all the instructions and such on the box are in Korean. 

So what kind of products are we going to expect in this box? Lets read the description:

"Tired of being a shiny face Cinderella by the time the clock hits 12? Turn down the shine and control excessive sebum with our Free From Oil and Troubles #3! This box is the ultimate go-to box for covering those pesky little pimples, treating blemishes, keeping skin matte all day and soothing troubled yet sensitive skin. Our oil absorbing products are proven to work fast, so that your skin is left refreshed, smooth, blemish free, and healthy looking!"

I'm so excited for this box. I've been living with constant oily skin for a really long time now, and its pretty gross and embarrassing. I sometimes had 6-8 hour school days in college, and by the 5-6 hour, I could feel my face get heavy and dirty. It was an awful feeling of a dirty oily face. I have no solution to my oily skin problem til this day. I hope all, or at least one of these products will be my answer. 

1. Skin 1004 Foam Foam Cleanser Morning and Night ($35 value for both) - Full Size

 This morning and night face wash duo was made to provide your skin with their different needs and conditions. The morning cleanser contains high concentrates of protective ingredients like argan seed oil for gently cleansing away dead skin cells without dehydrating your skin. The night cleanser contains a stronger cleansing formula for getting deep into all your pore-clogging impurities and make-up residues. This is actually pretty common sense, but brilliant to me because I just use the same cleanser day and night. I would of never thought to use two different cleansers!

2. Milky Dress Anti-Trouble Body Mist ($23) - Full Size

 This body mist is for spraying over your blemishes anywhere that can be seen. I've never heard of a blemish reducing body spray, so this seems interesting. I only have blemishes on my face so lets see if this can solve that problem.

3. Dermahouse Pore Tighten Ample ($22) - Full Size

 An ampoule specifically meant to treat enlarged pores and suppress formation of melanin pigments. This product facilitates skin for a cleaner more elastic skin. I'm actually not quite sure what this product really does besides treating large pores? The description is a little vague.

4. Yuri Pibu Parsley Herb Toner ($23) - Full Size

This product contains over 80% of organic parsley extracts. This is a gentle, moisturizing daily toner for all skin types. It absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving and maintaining a smooth, supple complexion. 

5. L'Ocean Pink Powder ($24) - Full Size

 Unfortunately this product was already shaken when I opened the package, but luckily it settles in the bottle. This unique spot/blemish treatment consists of two different layers - the yellow liquid layer on top and the pink powder on the bottom. The top layer contains BHA and AHA components which help remove any excess dead skin cells and the bottom powdery layer contains calamine and volcanic ash which work to fight off skin blemishes. Volcanic ash ehhh???

6. Tosowoong Silk Touching Powder ($34) - Full Size

Out of all the products in this box, I'm only familiar with this brand (I think.) This is a non-coloured, non-scented powder that turns transparent when you apply it to your skin. I guess its suppose to be a translucent powder that makes your skin silky and smooth.

Awesome.

This is my first Memebox and is the first of many more. I'm very happy and excited to try out all these awesome products. The down side to Memebox is that of course, it is brands that you have never heard of, but who cares? If the product works then it works! I've found a new found love for Korean beauty and I feel like Memebox is one of the best boxes and are way worth more than you paid!
