O-Lens Circle Lens Review (Jenith 3 Color Sky Gray)

If you're a new reader to my blog, howdy. If you're a frequent visitor, then you know that I love wearing coloured contact lenses. I love having the ability to change my eye colour everyday, to whatever colour suits my mood. I love the freedom of expression that they provide to me. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with having my dark, boring very very dark almost black eyes, I just prefer my eyes to stand out, and look brighter. Everyone has their preference, and mine is definitely grey eyes.

I got the opportunity to try out some O-Lens in the colour Jenith 3 Sky Gray from Pinkicon. 

Before I get started on my review, let me explain a little more about pinkicon.com. Pinkicon is one of the largest circle lenses distributor in Hong Kong. They offer over 300 types of circle lenses originating from Japan and Korea (so you know they're amazing). 

Not only do they have a large variety, they also offer free worldwide shipping on all their circle lenses! Every month under the sale tab, they also have special promotions going on for selected circle lenses, so you can save on your favourite brands. 

Anyways, on to the review! 

Here is what the back of the contact lenses packaging looked like. Of course I know how to wear contacts, assuming these are instructions.. so lucky for me I hope none of this was important!

Yes, I have terrible vision. The contacts come in a pair of glass jars, as do most asian circle lenses.

The sky gray has a hint of yellow to it, and the gray has a subtle hint of blue. The one thing I disliked about these contacts is the very noticeable pixels in the lenses. It's not a huge deal, but it could of been better.

Here it is beside my all time favourite coloured contacts, Desio Smokey Gray. You can't tell in this picture because the Desio lens is a bit blurry, but the pixels in the Desio one aren't that noticeable. 

You can definitely see the difference here. The desio ones look more realistic, whereas these ones you can tell they aren't someone's real eyes. Now, don't go saying "wow people would really think those are your real eyes?" Yes! I've gotten many compliments on how gorgeous my eyes were while wearing Desio Smokey Gray, and people are shocked to hear that they aren't my real eyes. 

Some pros about these lenses though. They are extremely comfortable. With Desio lenses, it takes a few tries for me to get them to feel comfortable in my eyes. Desio lenses do get drier faster (for me at least). These lenses are super comfortable, and I don't feel like I need eye drops after wearing them all day. The fact that they are comfortable could be because they also feel very lightweight. 

From far away, you wouldn't notice that these weren't my real eyes. They are very wearable as day to day lenses as they do last 6 months. They also make your eyes appear a lot bigger as well. Overall, I'm very pleased with these lenses, and will be wearing them quite often because they're so comfortable!

Desio Contact Lens Review (Caramel Brown, Innocent White)

This is my third Desio Lens post, and I've basically tried almost all of the shades, and I shall link them all below for your viewing pleasure. If you've never heard of the brand Desio, they're quite the popular contact lens brand on Instagram for over a year or so now. 

If you haven't heard of Desio before, they are a coloured contact lens brand from Italy, offering gorgeous shades of contacts with prescription and non-prescription. I've had hiccups with my two previous orders, but nothing bad to say about this one. 

I got lucky this time, and ordered these contacts around Christmas time (I know, I took a while to review this!), and got their Buy Two Get Two Free deal. Probably one of the best sales I've seen them have. I love Desio because they offer really nice coloured lenses compared to other brands that I've tried. I've tried 7 of the 10 colours they have, and I will link my other reviews at the end of this post. 

I went for caramel brown this time, because I wanted to try a warmer toned colour. I love how it warms up my face and doesn't look too "fake". 

I've been complimented on my eyes wearing these lenses, which is a good thing in my eyes. Meaning people really think they're real! 

Now I went a completely different route with Innocent white. Super bright, super frosty. 

This shade makes me look super pale and ghostly. Quite popular in the instagram community though. I wouldn't really wear these out much because they're really really bright, a little too much for me. The shade is gorgeous though and it looks amazing in photos.

Desio Contact Lens Review (Two Shades of Grey + Smokey Grey)

I'm a huge sucker for deals, and I patiently waited until Desio had another buy 2 get 1 free deal. This time around, I knew what I wanted because I previously made an order from Desio 4 months ago. Last time I purchased, was actually my first time, and I got Smokey Grey, Icy Blue, and Desert Dream. On my last purchase, I received my package about 2 weeks later. This time, I don't know how, but I got my package within 4 business days. (Ordered Thursday June 18, received it Wednesday June 24) I don't know how, but it happened. 

Because of my previous order, I knew what colour I really loved and what I had to reorder. This review will be on the Two Shades of Grey (lighter/darker), and I show you a glimpse of Smokey Grey. I won't really be reviewing smokey grey again because I already did in my first desio post, but I have a few pics of it in this post. 

This time with your buy 2 get 1 free order, you also received a cute white pouch with the Desio name printed on it. It's of pretty nice quality, a nice pleather material. 

I had high hopes for the Two Shades of Grey line, because the Smokey Grey from Desio is my absolute favourite. I get so many compliments on how nice my eyes are, and how beautiful/natural it looks. Crazy how some people actually think it's my real eye colour, I mean, considering I'm asian an all haha. 

Desio Two Shades of Grey - Lighter Grey

Its weird, my camera always makes my grey contacts come off as blue, I can never figure out how to fix that. The lighter grey is gorgeous, but compared to the smokey grey, it doesn't look as natural, to me at least.

If you look at smokey grey, you can see there's a lot more attention to detail with those contacts. It has more of a prominent starburst effect on the grey part, kind of making it blend nicer with your pupil area. Lighter grey has a little starburst, and the ring around the colour is a lighter grey than smokey grey. They look fairly similar from afar, but you can see the difference up close. Smokey grey's colour part isn't as solid as lighter grey's either. 

Desio Lighter Grey in both eyes:

Out of the two shades, I prefer the lighter grey over the darker.

Two Shades of Grey - Darker Grey 

In the packaging it looks exactly the same as lighter grey. 

Darker grey looks exactly like lighter grey, but darker, obviously. It has the same style of starburst, and the ring around the lens is a darker grey. I don't know if it's always when there's a buy 2 get 1 free, but the darker grey lens kind of irritated my eyes, and I couldn't wear them for long without my eyes watering. Last time I purchased with this deal, my Desert Dream pair were terrible. I couldn't wear them for more than 2 minutes and my eyes were watering and irritated like crazy. I don't know if they always have 1/3 defected when you purchase 3 pairs .. but who knows? I think I can still get wear out of them, only one lens bothers me, so maybe it's fixable if I cleanse it a lot before use.

As you can see, they look almost identical. Lighter grey has almost a blue/silver tone to it. Darker grey has blue but also a charcoal/smoke grey shade to it as well.

I honestly have been loving lighter grey. My all time favourite still has got to be Smokey Grey though. Hands down, best grey contacts I've ever worn!

Klenspop Circle Lenses Review 2

Hello again friends. We are here with my second circle lens review featuring lenses from Klenspop. My first review was a bit incomplete, considering one of the pair of lenses was deemed unwearable, but luckily both the pairs I was sent this time were great. More information about Klenspop can be found in my first review post.

Because the first pair of violet contacts they sent me last time were ripped, Klenspop was kind enough to send me a different pair from a different brand. Thank you!

Packaging:

The contacts always come neatly packed in this cute brown box. This time, the package took about 3 weeks to come, about 15 business days. 

All squished and packed tight with bubble wrap.

Ensuring its safe travels to it's final destination!

Each pair of lenses comes in it's own individual box.

Each box comes with a pair of contacts (one in each vial), a contact lens case, and tweezers. I love the little tweezers because they make taking the lenses out of the vials a lot easier. The contact cases are also my new favourites because they don't leak when I travel with them!

Top is brown and the bottom is violet. Both of the colours are extremely vibrant.

T.Top Lenses in Brown ($13)

I find it absolutely amazing that I now have a website that I can purchase my prescription contacts for SUPER cheap. $13 and these last for a whole year. All these years I've been wasting almost $200-$300 dollars for daily disposable clear contacts that only last me 6 months. I know, it's because they were daily, but still that's pretty pricey. 

Brown Contacts

These lenses almost blend in with my natural eye colour, but they definitely make my eyes look anime like. I kind of wish they showed up more, but it's what I expected from a brown contact lens colour. 

I like that these lenses are natural looking, so I can wear them to work!

T.Top Lenses in Violet ($13)

I was super excited about these ones because violet/purple lenses have always been my favourite. With both pairs of the T.Top lenses, I found that it took about 30 seconds to a minute for them to feel comfortable in my eyes, but after that I had no problem wearing them for more than 6 hours. 

Violet Contacts

I found the violet pair more comfortable than the brown ones (don't really know why), though they are from the same brand. These ones come off darker once in my eyes as well, but the colour can still shine through no problem.

I'm glad they don't appear too light violet on my eyes because I find it would look a bit too scary, so I'm happy with a dark violet!
