Here we are again with some more hair tools I got to try out, courtesy of Xtava. Today I will be reviewing their Allure 2200W Hair Dryer, alongside the Xtava silicone collapsible diffuser.
As I mentioned in my previous Xtava post, their products come in gorgeous, sleek packaging, and the sturdy box will make an excellent knick knack box.
With the hair dryer, it comes with its own nozzle.
The hair dryer itself is very lightweight and easy to hold. The material it's made of kind of makes it feel cheaper than the heavy metal ones I've used in the past, but the design is very professional and sleek.
The hair dryer has 3 temperature switches, allowing it to be low heat, medium heat for drying and shaping, and high temperature for rapid drying. The switch below is the off switch, gentle stream of air, and strong stream of air. I think the top single button is suppose to be the cold shot button, but I didn't feel much of a temperature change from the lowest temperature. If you're looking for a hair dryer that is hot, this probably won't be for you. It doesn't get hot to the point you can burn yourself, but it does get hot enough that your hair gets dry fast without frizzing.
The diffuser
I personally have never used a diffuser before, nor did I understand the point of using a diffuser. It's apparently suppose to give more body to your hair, and diffuse the heat evenly throughout.
The heat was definitely diffused throughout the diffuser, and it dried my hair, but of course, took really long. I myself don't have a need for a product like this, since I do enjoy straightening my hair.
The fact that it was collapsible made it a great travel product.
If you're into having volume and body added to your hair, then the diffuser would work wonders. It also fits on most hair dryers as well. It disperses the heat nicely, so you're not getting a full blast of head right to your head.
