I've been gone way too long from the beauty blogging world, I feel like I'm falling behind. Taking such a long hiatus definitely has made it difficult for me to get back on track. Well, I'm not giving up that easily!
Today I will be reviewing the ever so popular Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in the shade "Tawny".
I'm usually a fan of drugstore foundations, because a majority of them work for me, and sometimes committing to a high-end foundation could really break the bank if you love it that much.
The foundation comes in a beautiful glass bottle, which can also be awful if you were to drop it. I love the frosted glass and the gold screw on top. The one thing I dislike is that their isn't a pump, so I sometimes end up pouring out too much product.
The foundation claims to stay on for 15 hours, and stays in place through humidity. It also claims to not come off on clothes, which is a pretty awesome too.
The associate helping me thought this shade would be perfect for me, and of course I went with it.
A little definitely goes a long way with this foundation. I feel like it's more of a full coverage foundation, and it's quite pigmented. With this foundation I had to work really fast with it, or else it dried and didn't budge. It's so full coverage that I don't even wear concealer with this.
I'd say the colour matches me pretty well.
I know some people may say "damn you're hella oily!", but trust me, this is the best longwearing foundation I've ever used!! I don't know why I waited this long to try this foundation. If you have oily skin, this foundation is a MUST. Most foundations last maybe 6-8 hours tops, this one lasted about 10 hours before I noticed any oily areas. I could easily blot my face and my foundation would still look like I just applied it. I would not recommend this to someone with dry skin though, because the foundation sets super fast and looks completely matte. It can get really drying if you have dry patches (which I have in the winter), and it really clings onto them.
I am in love with this foundation. I only wish I tried it sooner so my search for the perfect foundation would have ended a while ago. Well, of course it doesn't mean I won't be trying and reviewing other foundations ;).
