Howdy, howdy. I've been on a drug store foundation binge lately, and have been searching for the perfect affordable foundation for my skin needs. Today I will be reviewing the L'oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation in the shade "103 Natural Buff". It runs for $17-$20 depending on where you purchase from, and the line has 9 shades.
The foundation comes in a nice, sleek squeezable tube, which is great for controlling how much product you want to use.
I would say that this foundation is a medium to full coverage, and is buildable without looking cakey. It claims to have a demi-matte finish, helps control oil, and wears for up to 24 hours.
Swatch:
On my forearm, the shade comes off super yellow and dark. I must say though, it perfectly matches my neck! This is actually the first time I found a foundation that matches my skin perfectly. You will see in the pictures below.
My naked skin is super uneven, especially around my mouth and eyes.
The foundation goes on smoothly when I use my Beauty Blender, and dries fairly quick. Already, I look very matte and haven't even set with powder yet!
My completed look. Pretty much just added powder, bronzer, mascara and did my brows.
I love that the foundation is a perfect match for me colour wise. So happy I got it right this time!
Look! I don't look oily at all! If anything my skin looks dry haha. (If you didn't notice, this was on a different day, but it was still after 6 hours using the same foundation! I totally forgot to take a mid day pic.)
After 10 hours. Uh yeah, I'm definitely oily. My t-zone always gets oily no matter what foundation I use. Nothing a blotting sheet can't fix.
Close up, the foundation may have not lasted that long, but it doesn't look that disgusting. Some foundations I've tried started separating because of how oily I get, and that looks awful. Realistically, I could easily blot my face while I'm out and the foundation will still look great.
This foundation is a win in my books. Is it THE foundation though? Definitely one of my top three favourite drug store foundations.
What's your favourite drug store foundation?
