Chopsaver Lip Care Review

Winter may seem to be gone now, but it has definitely taken its toll on my lips. This year especially, my skin has been all sorts of dry. Lucky for me, I got the opportunity to review Chopsaver Lip Balm, an organic lip balm that also works great for musicians.

Musicians you say?

Chopsaver is made with 100& natural ingredients, such as: arnica (a sunflower extract), citrus, shea butter, beeswax, avocado oil, apricot oil, and so on. I'm a fan of the small, compact packaging too. I use to use lip balm religiously. I always carried one with me wherever I went. Then leggings became a thing. I never carried one around with me again. I made peeling my lips a habit (gross, I know), and I stopped wearing lip balm altogether.

Upon my first use, the product glided on nicely, despite having super dry, peeling lips. Within minutes, my lips did feel dramatically smoother. Over the time span of about a week, I noticed that my lips were softer and no longer peeling as much. Of course, I did end up forgetting to use it and my lips did eventually become dry again.

I did enjoy using this lip balm, especially with the lemon scent. Lemon is probably one of my favourite scents. I do have a horror story though, but it wasn't really the product's fault, more of an accident. So my boyfriend finished his lip balm, and he has really bad dry skin. On like, every part of him. He gets severely dry skin in the winter, and he peels his lips like me too. I decided to give him this lip balm because I had another one to use, and he put it on before bed. When he woke up, he had this bright red ring around his lips, and they were a little swollen too! I died. I asked him if he forgot to wipe his mouth after eating ketchup chips and he got so mad. But anyways, it was a mild allergic reaction to one of the natural ingredients in the product, but it went away after a few days ahahah.

As much as I liked the scent, it wasn't something that worked incredibly well for me that I would repurchase. The product worked for the time it was used, but it didn't heal my lips long term.

This product was sent to me for reviewing and testing purposes.
All opinions are my own.
