Sephora Favorites: Give Me More Lip Review + Swatches (2015)

I apologize in advance if my website took forever to load. Because there's about 70+ photos in this blog post. You know me, always thorough with the lip swatches and pictures! Ever since I discovered the Sephora Favorites Give Me More Lip Sets, I knew I had to pick it up again this year. Unlike last years, I found a lot of these shades to be more wearable for everyone. 

Unfortunately the set can't be purchased online at Sephora anymore since it's sold out, but I'm pretty sure you can still find it at your local Sephora. 

The set comes with 15 lip products ranging from deep berries, reds, pinks, and browns/nudes.

The set comes with 4 full sized products and 11 deluxe sized products. Personally, I'm not one to finish a lip product that quickly, so deluxe sizes are awesome for me.

To keep this blog post short, (since it's already so freaking long) I'm going to give a brief review on all the lip products, along with a rating out of 5. 

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in "Melted Peony" (Deluxe Size)

I was pretty happy to see this product in the set because it was one of the Melted Lipstick shades I wanted to try. 

I'm glad I got a deluxe size, because I didn't enjoy the shade at all compared to a previous shade I owned. You definitely saw my fine lines in my lips, and the shade was a bit transparent until a few swatches. Not as opaque as I was hoping to be.

Tarte Energy Gloss in "Clear" (Deluxe Size)

I'm usually not a huge lip gloss fan. This one smelt like maple syrup, and was a bit tacky. It made my lips look super plump and juicy though, if you're into that.

Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lipstick in "Milky Way" (Deluxe Size)

I enjoyed the texture of this lipstick. Applied on super smoothly. There was no scent, which is a plus for me. Not that big of a fan of the shade.

Buxom Lip Polish in "Sophia"

I've always been a huge fan of Buxom lip polishes and glosses. One of the very few glossy lip products I enjoy. It's not super sticky and it smells absolutely divine. Like a caramel or vanilla scent. Also has a tingly minty feel to it which I enjoy. Sheer and subtle colour.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in "Tulip" (Deluxe Size)

Super delicious lemon scent. Very comfortable and also has an SPF of 15. Sheer colour which makes it wearable as an everyday shade.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in "Streak" (Full Size)

Normally not a shade of pink/coral I would prefer, but still pretty nonetheless. Super smooth, streak free colour. Bright and pigmented. Slight scent of crayons?

Lancome Lip Lover in "355 Framboise Etoile" (Deluxe Size)

I had low expectations for this product. Actually am in love. It feels great on the lips and was very easy to apply. Not as sticky as you would expect. Downside is that it has that gross lipstick smell. You know, the one that smells like.. old lady lipstick? No offence to old ladies out there hahahaha. I remember smelling that smell on my mom's make-up because she had a lot of Lancome products in the past.

Woah, make-up change. Obviously I didn't swatch all 15 lip products in one day. I was so tired doing like 5 haha. 

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstck in "Magenta Matte" (Full Size)

No idea if this is a limited edition shade to the set, because I couldn't find a direct link to this exact shade. Comes off purple on my lips which is weird, because it's bright pink on my arm and in the tube. A very lightweight lipstick. Feels super thin, but accentuates some dry patches. Love the colour.

Ciate Liquid Velvet in "Risque" (Full Size)

I was happy to see a liquid lipstick in the set. This one was quite different from ones I've used. It was almost like applying a wet mousse to my lips. Or whip cream. A very lightweight, airy formula. It wasn't very long lasting though. Transferred pretty easily. Layers well. I would compare it to the texture of the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks, but it doesn't suck the life out of your lips (doesn't make it that dry).

NARS Lipstick in "Scarlet Empress" (Full Size)

First time trying a NARS lipstick. Very Smooth, glides on effortlessly. Doesn't show my fine lines much. Beautiful shade.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in "Le Rouge No 1" (Deluxe Size)

One of the weirdest smelling lipsticks I've owned. Smells like a really gross perfume or even wine. I can't put my finger on it. Besides that, the lipstick is phenomenal. I've never experienced a lipstick so smooth before. No wonder YSL is expensive haha.

Buxom Lip Cream in "Berry Blast" (Deluxe Size)

Very similar to the Buxom lip polish. Smooth, smells awesome and looks good.

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in "Homegirl" (Deluxe Size)

I feel like a lot of shades from Kat Von D's studded kiss line is hit or miss. This one was a miss for me. Tugs on my lips and literally has to be dragged on. Very patchy.

Clinque Chubby Stick Moisturizing Colour Balm in "Strawberry" (Deluxe Size)

I actually hate lip crayons. I don't know if it's the packaging, but yeah, hate them. Lucky for this one, the colour was quite cute. Very sheer, but very cute still.

Bite Matte Lip Crayon in "Cognac" (Deluxe Size)

Never saw myself liking brown lipsticks. This one was quite nice. The lipstick went on smooth and the colour was deep and prominent. It smells a bit fruity or lemony.

What I love most about the Give Me More Lip set, is the opportunity to try products from brands you wouldn't have thought of trying. Or even shades you probably wouldn't have taken a second look at. I really enjoyed the variety of shades and formulas. This is definitely a set you need on your wishlist.
