When I first heard about the Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Collection being released in the UK, I knew I had to get my hands on it as soon as it came to Canada. I so totally did. I purchased these last Friday when Walmart just put them out. I was so happy to see them!
I never used to be a nude lipstick person, because I always thought I looked "dead" when I wore it. It was because I was wearing the wrong nude for my skin tone. The Rimmel Nude Collection provides a wearable shade for any skin tone. Available in 4 amazing shades (I searched high and low for the 5th shade, only to find out it wasn't released in Canada -_- #48 - was looking forward to it because I love dark fall nudes!), if you haven't tried Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks, you're missing out. These are my all time favourite drug store lipsticks, and I couldn't be more excited to share their new nude collection with you.
The nude collection comes in super adorable peach/nude lipstick tubes. The Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate lipsticks are usually in black tubes, or red tubes for the matte collection.
A bit similar, yet different.
Rimmel Nude Collection - Shade 40
Rimmel lasting finish lipsticks are always super creamy, and never drying. Out of the 4 shades, I found 40 to be the least flattering on me.
It's a very pale peach nude.
Literally matches my skin tone. So it looks totally weird on me. This is what I meant when I said I used to not wear nudes. Because I totally look like a dehydrated zombie haha.
Rimmel Nude Collection - Shade 42
This one is probably one of my favourites, and I also realized its super similar to the regular Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick by Kate in 08, which I reviewed and swatched in my Fall Lipstick Picks post.
#42 is a very pretty peach/pale pink nude.
It's a very flattering nude that I think would look great on almost all skin tones.
Rimmel Nude Collection - Shade 43
I thought I wouldn't like this shade because it comes off as copper/brown in the tube, but it's absolutely gorgeous on your lips.
I would describe this nude as a pale coral/champagne/rose gold colour. It's a very warm nude shade.
Definitely a great nude for summer. A bronze/golden tan look is one way to describe it.
Rimmel Nude Collection - Shade 45
This nude also looks fairly similar to Rimmel Kate in 08, with a hint of mauve.
#45 is definitely a cool toned nude. A pinkish-mauve.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this shade. It applied a bit sheer/streaky, but luckily the lipstick is buildable without looking weird. It almost came off as a frost pink colour.
I think that the Rimmel Nude Collection is a total hit. The versatility and options of shades is pretty awesome, even though their are only 4 shades. We have cool and warm toned nudes, peachy nudes, and pink nudes. My personal favourites are shade 42 and 43.
They look pretty sweet with flash too.
Do you like nude coloured lipsticks?
Will you be picking up any of these?
