I don't know about you guys, but my hair has been tied up for about 90% of the summer. It's just way too hot to wear my long hair down. The thing about that is, I am losing a shit ton of hair that's being pulled out. And another thing, hair ties can't deal with my thick hair. I have A LOT of hair, and when I stretch the hair tie too much it'll snap right away. I know I'm not the only one who also buys a huge back of hair ties, to only be left with one.
Guess what? Our hair tie problems have been solved. Today I am doing a review on the Hair Slinky by La Vita Glam.
First off, what exactly is the Hair Slinky? The hair slinky is and will be your new best friend. It's a hair tie made from medical grade TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), which is also hypoallergenic, and will not absorb bacteria. Not only that, but it is resistant to oil and grease, and it basically lasts forever!
Ain't it pretty? This one is my favourite of the bunch I received.
The Hair Slinky also has 4 benefits:
- NO hair dents
- NO hair damage
- Comfortable no slip grip
- Looks as good on your wrists as it does in your hair!
I absolutely adore these smaller hair slinkys. They're super cute!
The Hair Slinky is very stretchy too! No worry my thick haired friends, they got you. The one thing I was worried about was my Hair Slinky being stretched out after use.
DON'T WORRY THOUGH.
All you have to do is put your Hair Slinky in super hot/boiling water, and it goes back into shape! I was super skeptical about this at first, but I popped it into my sink while running some hot water, and BAM! Back into its normal size.
So what do I think?
I personally love the Hair Slinky. I think it's stylish and cute, along with the fact it doesn't leave hair dents. The one thing I hate most about tying up my hair is the damn hair dents. It's the worst when you shower and tie it up, and then there's a dent and you have no choice but to tie up your hair again the next day. With the Hair Slinky, it left a little wave in my hair, but in a matter of a few hours, my hair was flat and straight again. It definitely lives up to the benefits of no damage and no slip grip though. I lose a chunk of hair when I use a hair tie and pull it out. With the Hair Slinky, 8/10 times I pulled it out, and no hair was on it. Pretty impressive. It definitely stays put on your head too! With a regular hair tie I always have to tighten my ponytail, worrying about it falling off half way through my day. The only con I would have about it, is that a majority of the time, I can never get my ponytail to be/feel in the center. It could just be because I'm bad at centering my ponytails, but I never really came across that issue with a regular hair tie. Well, practice makes perfect!
Here's a fine example of the Hair Slinkys looking all cute and fashionable on my arm. Definitely makes some great arm candy.
